Workshops

We invite you to join us in the field!

Are you passionate about bats and the environment? Do you want to make a real impact while learning what it takes to become a biologist or citizen scientist? Join us in the field and we’ll teach you the principles of bat conservation while building lasting relationships along the way.

Our enthusiastic participants dive headfirst into the world of bats, honing their bat handling, photography, and conservation skills. With MTBC guidance, they tackle important research, shedding light on bat behaviors, roosting habits, and species diversity. Most importantly, they help provide local bat population surveys–a crucial resource for native bat conservation groups.

Imagine the thrill of capturing and identifying over 50 bat species in a single location! From vampire bats to those that hunt insects, disperse fruit seeds, or pollinate flowers–the variety is astonishing! Participants will learn to take their own breathtaking photos and bring back fascinating stories, becoming true ambassadors for bats.

Our mission goes beyond just providing hands-on opportunities. We are committed to expanding the knowledge of bats and their unique conservation requirements at locations of special need worldwide. That’s why we share the stunning photos and valuable information gathered by our participants with local communities. By doing so, we raise awareness and build a deeper understanding of these fascinating and essential animals.

If you’d like to get involved, stay tuned to our events page for upcoming opportunities. Together, we can make a difference and inspire bat conservation worldwide. Get ready for an adventure like no other!
